Guest guest
Great Idea, Bob! Wish I could attend. We may come through Seattle in the summer, but won't be able to be there this spring. How would you publicize it? Guest guest
I'd use it as a trial of a presentation, only. They have some members who would attend I guess. I'm not sure I want to publicize it until at least I've had some feedack on it from a legalistic standpoint, and if anyone is even interested in this. Science types may not be caregivers and may therefore say " thanks, that was cool " and that's the last of it, while spiritists and pseudo science types will have all sorts of questions and no intention to help anyone if they get answers. I don't want to waste my time or theirs for that matter. So, it's not quite a howling success, I'd just like to try it out and see what happens. Today, with virus in the news, people may be more atuned to the value of it..we'll see. bG > > Great Idea, Bob! Wish I could attend. Guest guest
I'm more enthusiastic than I sounded...What I'll probably end up doing is a series of these presentations, one each month or two and have people build the devices, showing it to others. That might be a fun way to get the word out without really saying anything. Everyone will sooner or later hear of it by seeing one of them, and finding that it's so easy to try. As it is now, hidden in a group, even though that is quite public, it's still more an information problem than an engineering problem. By directly distributing the devices, more people will have them than if we use publicity and get attacked or other issues come up, even favorable publicity has a very short shelf-life. bob > > > > Great Idea, Bob! Guest guest
No go. The situation is that the Museum of Mysteries only hosts the Weird Science folks, and they have not answered me back expressing any interest or regrets, for that matter. The feeling at the Museum was that a talk by me was a promotion of some sort. I explained it was not, but the person in charge told me she had worked in labs and that this really belongs in a lab, not in the public domain. We discussed that, she said that I might contact Bastyr Univ, or other labs who might be interested. I have done that several years ago, without a reply from Bastyr. Also, I sent emails with the Einstein College HIV study to about 200 current and former employees of the UW HIV lab including the director who thought 100 microamps was lethal to humans (when I sent the proof of safety, that he simply ignored). That was around the time I think we started this group... bG > > I'm thinking about a talk on 7 april at 7-730 pm start, in Seattle, on > Bwy Capitol Hill, near the deluxe bar and grill, underground in a > place called a museum of Mysteries. Guest guest
True. Some of them are cowards. Guest guest
I haven't figured it out yet, but I'd never give them a bet to place for me. The race would be over. > > True. Some of them are cowards. > > Dick >
