Guest guest Posted January 12, 2006 Report Share Posted January 12, 2006 Do NOT use them without a limiting resistor, they are dangerous, can burn, etc. 3-6 volts is fine, but 9 is dangerous. Limiting resistors can be 10k-22k ohms solid resistor. you cut one wire, and splice the resistor into that wire. Either end in either direction, it will not matter. Additionally, if you want better control, use a 100k linear potentiometer (2.49 at radio shack) connect the center pin and one edge pin to either wire in either direction, as I spoke about the limit resistor. If you use the 100k pot, you should also use the limit resistor! Otherwise the pot can be set to zero, and will be the same as an unprotected 9 volt battery...dangerous. bG Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
