Guest guest
Sweat + anxiety = too much adrenaline. This should widen her pupils and also make her less pain sensitive and more hyper. There are many possible reasons for this, one being inability to make enough cortisol. If I were you I'd stop the trimox and think very hard about the zinc - I'd at least try a different brand, and a different kind (e. g. switch from zinc citrate to zinc picolinate). Guest guest
I have type 2. I don't believe I have ever sweated enough to see. Perhaps that's one of the reasons I don't like hot climates. The heat stays inside and I don't sweat. I always march to a different drummer. Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I've been having a very strange problem over the last two or three weeks - my hands have been cold and sweating almost non-stop, to the point of being wet. I have read that CMT can affect the autonomous nerves that cause sweating, but I thought the impact was to decrease, not increase, perspiration in the extremities. Also, I've recently had Carpal Tunnel Release surgery on both hands, and it's not clear to what extent, if any, CMT has affected my hands. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks,
Guest guest
I did read somewhere when I was browsing that excessive perspiration was a factor particularly of CMT2. My hands sweat most of the time whether hot or cold but all my live I've suffered from excessive perspiration to the extent that it has been embarrassing. I have a friend with severe MS and she also suffers from it. Hope this helps. Love Sue The important thing is never to stop questioning. Guest guest
Sue, Thanks so much! I do have CMT2, and for years was embarrased by excessive sweating of the head and chest - I'd be on the train to work, everyone else would look crisp and professional and I'd be a soggy mess, the die from my tie running down the front of my shirt! This was before I had even heard of CMT, or had any symptoms (that I noticed). This thing with my hands is so strange, though - I've had this happen before, but I don't recall it ever being this bad. It's so embarrasing having to shake hands when you know your hands are wet and clammy! Yech! Thanks, PS - I enjoyed visiting your web site the other day! > > I did read somewhere when I was browsing that excessive perspiration was a factor particularly of CMT2. Guest guest
Thank you . I purposely didn't ask what type of CMT you had just to see if what I read could be true. Do any of you with CMT1 have this problem? Love Sue The important thing is never to stop questioning. Guest guest
You carry on marching Kathleen and stay dry. I've always managed to drip with sweat in cold, cold temperatures but I know now that all goes to make me special. Love Sue The important thing is never to stop questioning.
