These are all good questions, and someday I will have new photos that really are much more expanded. But really the device and its parts are chosen sort of " close enough " so...use a 100k pot, that will also work. IF you want more control, use 100k + 100k pot wired " in series " meaning sort of daisy-chained together. Be sure to get a cheap digital meter in there if you are building a complete godzilla. Electrodes are about 2 " long, but nobody uses an exact number there since wrists are different sizes, they can vary from 1.5 " to 3.0 " long, use any thin stainless steel object like a bolt or better, a cotter pin. OR you can use gold springs taken from HI FI jack plugs from Radio Shack or other sources like stereo shops. Gold springs are easy to work with, just twist wires into them, cover with some layers of cloth, etc. You will get tiny irritations on wrist if you get a hot spot, it's no big thing, but watch and correct it by adding some layers of cloth to cover the spring or other metal better. You want a large range of power from high to low. I used to have it labelled that way and found a lot of people with questions, and can't find a 100k pot, etc. So, it went to a 500k pot just to cover all bases. It's really no problem with 500k, or 100k if you provide additional resistor to the 10k standard one of godzilla, in series or just a higher valued resistor, like 30k instead of 10k. ? It will vary with users, some will want higher end clout, others will find they cannot lower it enough using a 10k resistor and 100k pot. The pot adds to the limit resistor. If you use a 100k pot, and a 10k limit resistor, the lowest you can set the device to output over a dead short is about 36 volts divided by 110k ohms, or around .3mA, but that may still be too high for some. Using the 500k pot you would get 510k ohms total resistance and under .1mA (100 microamps).
