Guest guest
Hi Because I have a severe neck condition and have been suffering long before benzos came into play, I was wondering if getting steroid injections for the muscle spasms and severe tightness would interfere with the w/d. I know that if I didn't have this cervical stenosis and severe muscle spasms, no pain, just muscle involvement, my w/d from the valium wouldn't be so bad. This is not normal muscle w/d symptoms, since i have had this for over 24 years only exaserbated being in w/d. Has anyone ever received injections when they were going through a benzo withdrawal and if so, what are the repercussions and side effects and interactions. Are there any alternatives to having steriods injected, anyone ever hear of having any other substance injected. I know it will increase my sugar levels for a few weeks as steroids do that to even normal people. I think I remember someone here talking about having injections. Don't remember who it was. This neck has been a real thorm in my side for many years and have suffered tremendously with it way before benzos, this is just making it so much worse. It is affecting my existence in every way. Can't sleep, wake up dizzy, muscles are always tight and in spasms and nothing I do relieves it from Epsom salt baths to massage to PT to chiropractic or acupuncture or stretching. Cannot do any exercises or stretching, tried, muscles are locked and affecting eyes and equilibrium. My dad told me to get to a pain management doctor and have them inject my neck and shoulder muscles for some relef. He said it will help alot, but I am so afraid of the side effects in w/d. My neck is literally shaking from the severe muscle spasms and rigidity. Diagnosis: severe cervical stenosis in the C-2 to C-6 with loss of cervical curve and severe arthritis and spondylosis. Sorry to complain again and take up your time, but I am at my wits end over this and can't function at all. I am trying to be positive but this is overwhelming me. Nobody I know understands. Can anyone advise or suggest or help?
