Guest guest
Hi Dee, I was only able to lose weight because I had a gastric bypass 4 years ago, and I ended up being in the small percentage of people who lose too much weight. It took me over a year to gain some weight so I don't look like I just came out of a concentration camp. Then when they put me on the opiate I'm on, it seems to make me antsy. Everything I've ever read, and including a paper one of my drs.had submitted, said that people who work grave yard have a harder time staying slender, our bodies are supposed to be sleeping at that time, and when it isn't, one of the glands that controls the weight loss doesn't work properly. I've also read that people who get less than 7 hours of sleep at nite have a harder time losing weight. I had tried everything before I had the RNY, and I got lucky because my insurance offered it to people for about a year. I still have issues about it, for years my ortho dr. kept telling me I would be in less pain if I lost weight. By the time I lost the weight however, damage had already been done, and I had the first of my knee replacements. I had to take an old pic of me into my dr., he didn't be lieve it was me! My own brother didn't recognize me twice, so that was kind of fun. But, even though I'm skinny now, I still have just as much pain as anyone else. (Forgive the writing style change, don't know what button I hit, and how to return to the regular) Anyways, that's my weight loss story, and I'm still waiting for the less pain the drs. promised me once I lost the weight. I think I'll be waiting till eternity! Jeannie ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for earth-friendly autos?
