Hi Everyone,

My back pain has always been mainly in the lumbar area, where I have a badly

herniated disc, DDD, and arthritis spurs. I have also had off and on neck

pain, but lately my upper back and neck have been giving me more and more

pain. The last few days I have noticed a lot of pain in my shoulders, and

down my arms,,,,,,,sharp pains that run right down my arms to my wrists.

This usually happens when I reach out for something,,,,the faucet, my coffee

cup, etc.,,,,,not stretching, just normal extension of the arm. The aching

and pain in the shoulders is there consistently, tho, and on the outside of

my forearm, there is an area that feels like it is burned, or badly scraped

,,,,yet there is nothing there! Has anyone ever had anything like this? Or

know what would be causing it? I am thinking that maybe I have another

herniated disc,,,,this time in my cervical spine, and that this is causing

nerve pain. Could the pain in my shoulders and arms be nerve pain? I get

some real sharp pains in my right wrist at times too,,,,like when I wring

out a dish or wash rag,,,,,,,ouch bad!! I have figured all along that it

was probably carpal tunnel from all my time on the puter, but maybe it is

tied in with all this other arm pain.

When I see the chiro on Friday, I will run this past him, and see if he has

any ideas, but if any of you have had anything similar, I would appreciate

the input!

Thanks a bunch,

Hugs, Barb
