Guest guest
Excuse me Becky, I should have qualified my experience with Elavil more. Becaue medications work on us do differently, as does Elavil for me, it DOES work on my serotonin levels and their reuptake. I have had extremely good results with this medication since 1987. May I remind you and the group Elavil helps me with balance, tremors, sleep, nerve pain and mood. Quite a good medication for me if it helps in 5 ways. I agree that Elavil is NOT an SSRI; the newer class of anti-depressants, but a tri-cyclic. I will also say I tried a variety of SSRI's too, from Prozac to Paxil to Zoloft, al; had very negative effects on my CMT, mostly causing extreme agitation and a surgee in tremors.. May I inquire what your experience is with Elavil? Did you take it? How did it work for you? Please, if you want to argue with me, lets do it offlist. ~G
