Guest guest
Hi all I was noticing today that intense pressure on the spinal cord in the lumbar area increases greatly walking uphill vs downhill. I tried researching that on line but most of the dxes such as stenosis and sciatica are said to be helped walking up hill. Does anyone know: what are the causes/diagnosis of increased lumbar pain walking uphill? Thanks for whatever thoughts your might have
Guest guest
Perhaps you are leaning forward going uphill. That puts increased pressure on the discs. If you have a disc bulging it may bulge more into the spinal canal. Leaning back (like going downhill) puts less pressure on the discs but more pressure on the facet joints. Guest guest
Bulging into the spinal canal... I had not thought of that; I always picture the bulge being in front. Interesting thought; I will look into it. Thanks for taking the time to reply. On Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at 01:02 AM, neck pain wrote: > 4b.
