Guest guest
, Her surgery was successful --but they were limited to how far they could straighten her spine. Our orthopaedic dr. here put her in a Milwaukee Brace for one year--she kept curving. He never admitted that he didn't know what to do. We were upset about how crooked her body was getting. She not only curved side to side, but spiral as well. We took her x-rays to a Spinal Clinic at a childrens Hosp. and the dr. there said surgery as soon as possible--she was 75 degrees off 'plumb' line! They got her down to 40 deg. but before the fusion was complete, her body pulled it back to 45 deg. Her one wing still stands out, but her shoulders are nice and even. She wore an off the shoulder wedding gown. BTW-- talking about professions--she has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling at a major hosp. in Baltimore.
