Joan - elavil/neurontin

Hi Joan,

The Elavil seems to work better on me than Neurontin. Taken at

bedtime, at a very small dose, it works on nerve pain and quality

sleep. I wake up refreshed and able to get through the day just fine.

What I found happened with Neurontin after 1 year on me it made me

feel 'speedy' - even at night, but during the day I truly WAS way too

wired, I was on 900mg a day, then down to 600mg, even wired then. I

don't like to be wired...lol...that is my natural state...makes me

move too fast and hurry so I don't concentrate on where my feet are

going in time and space. I have been taking Elavil since 1997, except

for the one year 'break' (lol) for Neurontin.

How is your mother and how does the Neurontin affect her?

Excuse the interruption, exactly what is elavil and neurontin for? Since I am

not any medications I guess I am behind the times here.
