Guest guest
Oh what fun Gretchen!! The best trained dog we ever had was a German Shepard Dog we got when I was about 12. My brother and I messed with him and read a few training books and he was the perfect dog, never jumped on anyone ever. I wish I had the time for a dog now, my 3 kids and 3 cats wouldn't allow it now. Maybe when they are older though. Have fun and don't over do it!!! A 6 week old puppy. I put my self through college training and breeding dogs with a friend and have loved working/training my own dogs over the years. I showed my neighbor some basic obedience stuff, it is never too early....so they are kind of crazy people and after my demonstration about 'how easy it is to train your dog' (using both of mine) - they said " name your price " . I was floored. Anyway, going to give it a try, 20 minutes each morning while their kids are at school and only the grandmother is there, then when puppy is responsive, I will train the family, LOL, to continue with the dog and life. I had a Pet Sitting biz for 5 years that was lucrative, so I am thinking maybe this will lead to more training...another diversion and interest, a hobby really, but diversify the income. The little puppy is some sory of Retriever type. Just wanted to share that news since we are talking about careers. Of course, I am drawing up a 7 week contract, my part, their part (yes, there is homework THEY have to reinforce!) ~G
