Guest guest
Oh my gosh Melody - there we go with that 'human error factor' in medicine, but what a BIG mistake! I mean it is either a right leg OR a left leg DUH!!!! On one of my old neuro histories, it was noted " her father died in '62 " - imagine the laugh Dad and I had that night at the dinnertable! (He didn't die until '79) My record should have read " in '62 she was diagnosed with CMT " ! Help!!! These errors are inexecusable. Typos?? Transcriptions prroblems? What about the technician errors Paolo was talking about on the CMT DNA tests??? This makes me mad!!! And so I keep making sure my adult records are accurrate, although the hospital I was in for the coral episode, the records say 'has Charcot foot' - ho hum, not Charcot Marie Tooth disease, which I must have told every nurse, doctor and any person who could write!!!! (Charcot Foot and CMT disease ARE different!) ~ Gretchen
