Guest guest
I know I have a terrible diet. If I left off all the stuff that Gillian listed I would dry up and blow away. Her list contains most of my intake. My major meats are red meat, pork. The only other meat I eat is chicken. I like sugar and lemon in my iced tea and drink soda much of the time. I like MT. DEW, one of the worst drinks to be having all the time because of the sugar content. The drinks contain too much caffeine, but when I cut back on them or do without sugar I get headaches. A large amount of vegetables I eat come fresh or frozen. Sometimes I eat canned but is usually only green beans, peas, or beets. To top the list I also season my vegetables with a little ham or some bacon drippings. *** Does anyone remember the commercials "Beef it's what's for dinner" and "Pork, the other white meat"? I have tried to change my diet many times without success. I always end up cooking something no one will eat. We are so used to the way I cook and my husband also grew up having his food seasoned this same way. I think it is more common here in the south than in other parts of the states or world. I did get him to start eating some chinese food that he did'nt want to touch before. Now, he eats it about once a week. My son just picks out what he does'nt like or avoids that dish all together if there is too much of something in it to pick out. Cassie cartman@... Guest guest
You can find similar substitutes. Also it's not something that can be done over night it takes time. Btw the head aches are caffeine withdrawal once you stop drinking it enough time you won't get the headaches any more. You ar enot the only one who is going to suffer from that diet the whole family is in for serious problems along the way. It's in everyone's best interest. however, the food does not have to be boring. Look at ethnic cooking. Cook lots of variety. _Adriel > From: " The Beamons " <cartman@...> > Reply- egroups > Date: Thu, 24 Aug 2000 10:44:14 -0400 > < egroups> > Subject: [ ] Re: Foods to Avoid > > I know I have a terrible diet. Guest guest
Hello, I have recently noticed that when I drink orange juice I get much worse pain in my hands and feet. I make sure I do not get the calcium fortified because the neuronton instructions say not to take within an hour window of antacids or calcium supplements. I wonder if orange juice negates neuronton or if it is too acid, or whatever. Also salty stuff gives me extra pain. Anybody else notice this about orange juice?
