Guest guest
I remember " Max Headroom " !! Since I've joined this group, I have been horrified as I read about all the different effects our diseases cause our body to have. Very few of these problems are genetic, according to my dr., they " just happen " . Of course, I know some are caused by accidents, but all in all, when I read about all these different symptoms, I get terrified the same may happen to me. I was so naiive, before I got all my problems, I thought this stuff only happened to the elderly. My heart aches for all of you who are worse off than I. I am so grateful to Sharon for starting this group, I've learned so much, and feel better knowing I'm not the only one suffering- it was a pretty lonely world I had before I discovered this group. I know I am just rambling, I just wish more people were aware of all that goes on with people like us, we're not lazy, or faking it, we can't just suck up the pain. If they could be in our shoes for 48 hours and feel our pain, and see what it has done to destroy our lives, maybe it would change the way some people think. Thanks for letting me get this out of my system, even if only temporarily-my husband is very compassionate, but even he can only take so much- Cruikshank <d.cruikshank@...> wrote: At 12:23 PM 8/5/06, you wrote: >Hi everyone. Guest guest
I'm agreeing w/ everyone here, esp. the Max Headroom twichy thing-my leg still does it a little sometimes, esp. when i try to sit a flex my feet on my toes it'll jackhammer up & down until i put my feet flat. Definately get any paralytic sensations checked out though-if there's any chance it's spinal the dr. will tell you that after a certain point it's not reversible and then you have SCI instead of a pinched nerve. It is probably one of the scariest things, so i too am thankful there are others here w/ experience and to give advice. Does anyone know of any way to get in on a stem cell study? the bone deteioration goes to my teeth as well and i'd do anything to progress spinal nerve studies. good luck to all pre- and post-ops we are rooting for you! --------------------------------- Talk is cheap.
