Guest guest
This morning I had to go to the Breast Cancer Clinic at my local hospital - don't worry I'm fine, just an infection. But when I saw the consultant he asked me the normal questions and then asked (bearing in mind I'm sitting there in a wheelchair) if I have any other medical problems. Yes, I said, I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth.' 'I haven't come across that in a long time,' he replied. Me by this time is amazed. 'You mean you know of it? 'Yes' he replied. Brilliant - the Breast surgeon knew about CMT but the Consultant Neurologist at the same hospital knows nothing about it because he's said both verbally and on paper I don't have the disease because my NCV's are normal. I asked him if he fancied becoming a Neurologist but he declined said he was quite happy doing what he was doing. LOL Crazy, crazy world! I think if I don't get my dx from Oxford on the 19th Oct I'll try my local vet. Love Sue
