BE CAREFUL ... Insurance companies " flag " policies of people on anti

depressants or drugs perscribed for mental illness and people that see

mental health professionals .

You WILL be classified as a person with mental health issues and your

rates may go up, or they can drop you without warning .

Dear Dave I was lucky enought to get my disability in 3 months, I was not asked to see a psychiatrist. However, I have a friend who is 42, she has been trying for 3 years now for disability. She was asked to fill out a long questionnaire, and at one of her many hearings, was questioned by a psychiatrist chosen by Social Security. She's still waiting on an answer from the judge. I don't know your age, but she was told that it is harder to get disability if you are younger than 50. I'm almost 52, and have had it for a year now. Also, when you're approved, they tell you in how many years you'll be re-evaluated. I knew when I applied that it wasn't automatically approved for life, they told me it will be 6-7 years before I'm re-evaluated. Hope this helps a little. JeannieJeannie
