Guest guest
***I was having a hard time with the whole career thing because my Doctor suggested that I quit the job that I love so much (hair dressing) . My hands have been bothering me alot lately and I have questions about that.It just seems like everything I love to do has to do with my hands like painting and playing guitar. I know something good will come out of all this ,it was just a shock and over whelming.*** , I was thinking about the above statement you made in one of your posts. I'm sure it is very difficult to have a doctor tell you to quit the job you love. I find it is difficult when I cannot do some simple everyday task (I'm a homemaker). But, I usually try and find a way to perform the task. Perhaps if you sit down and take a " What My Interests Are " inventory. List what careers might interest you. I know you have probably thought to do this, but sometimes we can't see the trees for the forest. Could you possibly teach at a school for hair stylists? Perhaps there is book work and lecturing for the students, and not just all hands on experience. Check out a book at your library on " Careers/Occupations " , that might be of some help. These are just some ideas. Good luck.
