alisha here,

well in less than 2 weeks, i am back at school!! :(

i am not looking forward to it at all, the crowds and the annoying grade 9's

that just stand there and don't move at all. i get to yell a bit only to

have them hear me so that i can get through them all with " sam " my walker.

this will then start back up more of my hip and foot pain. (of course i am

never without pain throughout the year) i wear orthotics in my shoes. do

they make a difference i have no idea. i don't feel any different. i tried

sitting on a pillow in class to help my hips and it didn't fly at all. i

elevate my feet to help both my hips and feet and more or less it doesn't

help, just speeds up the numbing, strange sensations and funny walking after

wards. also a few choice words muttered under my breath as i am moving.

i have a foot massager, its nice to use and gives temporary relief. i use

wheat bags, hot water bottle, hot baths, rub downs, braces, wishes and

anything else i can get my hands on to feel better. i don't at all. i sit on

pillows and when my hips r really bad, i lay a pile of quilts on the floor

and add some pillows. lay on the pillows and just lay there for a while. i

usually have the radio on or a book near by or i just fall asleep.

when i do dishes, if my feet r really bad, my sister will get me the high

chair to sit on or i grab sam and whip around the kitchen. its nice at times

to just sit while doing the dishes expect for when u have to get up and put

something away that's high up.

i honestly don't know what u can do to help the pain. if ur on pain meds

then they could help. i haven't found any at all to help me so i am not

taking any at all. i haven't taken pain meds for several months now and

don't feel any better at all.

i am trying to live it one day at a time and not burn out in school.
