Just for an intro: I have scoliosis, some vetebrae problems, and a few years ago developed a reversal curvature of the neck. I have been dealing with episodes lasting months of severe neck pain/stiffness, fatigue, and nausea (to the point where I lost several pounds a day) for several years. I go to a chiropractor regularly, which helps me to a point. If you have any suggestions about what you do for neck pain besides surgery, I would really appreciate it. Guest guest
-Hi welcome to the group. Sorry I have to keep this kinda short today going thru a tough time here. Did something to mess up my back worse, still have no idea what but its causing my pain level to go thru the ceiling on me Anyway I have a reverse curve in my neck too, they found it when I had neck problems, pain in my neck, shoulders, stiffness (it felt like a board was in my neck and shoulders), hurt to even hold my head up some days.I tried PT and that made it worse. Have you had an MRI or CAT scan done?? They found out I had stenosis along with a ton of other things in my neck that were causing me so much pain. I lived with it for almost 2 yrs before I found a dr who would help me. But I used moist heat wraps on my neck, hot towels in the tub work too, a good neck pillow and be sure and laying down completely flat everyday at least for a couple of hours. Also muscle relaxers helped too. Thats all I can think of right now. Sorry if I think of more later I'll post it. Hope some of this helps you. Time for me to go soak my leg in the hot tub cause its screaming again again welcome to the group. Best wishes for as pain free day as possible. Guest guest
Sharon, I hope you feel better--thank you for writing when the pain has gone up. I've never had an MRI or CAT scan done. I don't know what kind of a doctor to go to. I've been to only primary care doctors (who just prescribe painkillers) and chiropractors. Where do you all go? An orthopedist? > > Hi, everyone, I just got access to your group today. I told > Sharon > > that I was starting my own support group yesterday and then > deleted it > > when I found yours!
