I have too say I agree with Larry I know there are tons of people who

joined this group who have never posted a thing. Now in the last

group I was in you HAD too tell them why you wanted too join the

group in a letter BEFORE you could even get in the door. I didn't

want our group too be like that. BUT I do believe that there are alot

of people out there silent in their pain. I've been there too, you go

inwards instead of outwards trying to find relief from your pain, IT

DOESN'T WORK!!!! I can't state that enough, that was the purpose of

this group too talk too each other. NO ONE understands our pain like

those of us in pain. I KNOW THAT TOO!!!! and you do too if you think

about it. Family and friends try too understand, I know they do but

they fail because they cannot be in our bodies, they cannot feel the

horrible pain we sometimes live with 24 hrs a day. There is NO WAY

too decribe that pain too someone who does not live with it. That is

so true and if everyone would sit down and think about how alone you

feel in times of pain, how you isolate yourself even more from the

world, I know I did it too, and I'm trying too pull myself out of

it. I'm trying too make myself go more places when I can, get out and

drive my car, just for a little bit. Hey my new camaro sits there

waiting more times that it flys down the road :) But those small

steps seem giant sometimes too someone who has been trapped alone in

a world of pain for over 3 yrs. Well I am now working on getting that

pain under control and I REFUSE too give up. Sometimes that why I

hurt the most, because I WON't Stay PUT in the house, because I WANT

too go outside and smell the fresh air and feel the sunshine on my

face. I don't know but for me the outside has alwasys been my world,

the place I love too be, no matter what. My horses and animals have

kept me moving when I wanted too crawl in bed and just die. I love

being with them, at least they always give love unconditionally. I

was thinking about that the other day, how so many people are alone

and how much animals have too give to me. I wondered if anyone out

there had tried getting a animal too help them get thru the bad

times??? I got a cat when I went too the store too get a thanksgiving

turkey lol. Now my husband thought I was NUTS!!!!! Well maybe I am

BUT that cat got me thru alot of bad times, curled up in my lap,

offering her love and affection for nothing more than just a warm lap

too curl up in and some loving attention. Anyway I got off the track,

sorry I tend too ramble too much. But, I do wish more people would

post and talk in the group, I know alot of them are out there in pain

fighting it daily alone and thats why I made the group. Too help all

of us like that, so please come out of your shells and you might find

some very caring people too talk too, especially Larry :) he always

finds time too welcome the new people and try and help anyone who is

down. So for those of you who don't know any of us well, give us a

chance, you might find some very good new friends here. I've been

thinking about having a weekly chat session, if anyone would be

interested in that??? So I guess I'll post a vote and find out. I

think it would be fun and it might help bring some more members out

of the woodwork :) best wishes for a wonderful painfree day too all,

Sharon

Sharon,

I completely agree with you about animals helping to keep us in a better frame of mind.

We have 10 horses and 3 dogs, I started myself going outdoors after surgery, if only to pet my horses and see how they were doing. Honestly, they really keep me going.

I tried riding a couple of weeks ago. I of course was stiff afterwards, but I will continue (slowly) because I felt better mentally afterward and the stiffness and soreness, went away after a couple of days. So, I am determined to keep those muscles strong by riding whenever the pain allows me to.
