Guest guest
We've been playing this game where Lucy complains of pain and I call the rheumy and when we go in to see her, Lucy does a tap dance and hand stands and the rheumy can't find any signs of active arthritis. She said on Monday that she thinks it is one of two things: Lucy is overdramatizing, or she has " smoldering " arthritis that is causing her pain. I'm open to the idea that Lucy is making it more than it is, but my mommy intuition says that's not it. I had to train Lucy to come and tell me when she hurts. So she skips up and says, " my wrists hurt " and she skips off. They hurt especially bad in the morning and she wouldn't know to make that up. Anyway, the rheumy wants her to have steroid injections in both wrists since those are persistently the joints she complains about, even though she does have some pain in other joints. I'm waiting to hear from the hospital that will be doing it to schedule it, but we are kind of on pins and needles wondering what it's going to be like.
