Guest guest
's mom updated me today - After less than a day, came off the respirator. In stark contrast to last time, it did not take very long at all for the anesthetics to wear off -- a good indication that her new liver is working well. She is awake and smiling, and looking " many shades " less yellow/jaundiced, to (approximately) quote. So, things are looking good so far - On Mar 2, 2009, at 8:47 PM, Fedder wrote: Lila is my informant for this message -- when I was ignominiously grabbing a > burger at the jack-in-the-box a few blocks away, I got a call from her > saying that is done with the surgery! > > From the sound of it, things went very well -- the liver was a good match > and a good fit, there weren't any complications, and it's already working. > (Judging from the time, the operation didn't run long, either).
