Guest guest
Veri, First off, he's only six and in kindy, so I have no idea what will happen in middle or high school...oh and we are in Florida. One of the accommodations (like a 504, just housed in his iep) is that he is not penalized for doctor appointments, therapy appointments, being late or school. It is recorded but not 'held against him.'. Actually the woman in the office removed all his therapy and doctor appointment tardy's recently. But remember our school is very easy and I'm very aggressive....proactive may be a better word...lol! I don't have his IEP with me at work...but I'll see how it's worded. He is also in a self contained special needs classroom for high functioning kids...meaning the expectations are the same as a typical kindy student but the delivery is different. He is allowed to rest and even nap if he needs to...but again we are blessed with a great school and an even better teacher. So much depends on that! Good luck! & , 6, poly (04/09) plus a bunch of other stuff Sent from my iPhone
