Guest guest
Veri, Your advice has been so helpful to me. As you know, I have been concerned about my son, Henry, for a while. The visit to the pediatric opthalmalogist was good, no uveitis. We have continued to see symptoms that are actually more easily defined now that we are making a concerted effort to watch and predict where possible. My son is becoming less resistant to telling me how his body feels, as well. Now I am not sure which direction to take with a rheumatologist appt. I am hoping that you can give me some personal insight with the choices that I have. I did find where KU has a " clinic " where they visit various places that may not have a pediatric rheumatologist. I see the Dr. Lindsey as possibly visiting wichita clinic on occasion. You have mentioned a doctor in KC. Would you mind telling me about your experiences and what you think each may offer, of those you have had experience with? Since my son hasn't a diagnosis, yet, I think I am hesitant to make the necessary arrangements to go to KC. We had to go to Lawrence recently for his IEP re-eval (gifted services) and it cost me $11/hr for a substitute, so I am a little reluctant to try to schedule a couple of days without being sure. Thanks again for all of your input so far, Kim
