Hello All, just thought I would post a note to share frustrations. Jaye

is not feeling real well and is just sore and exhausted. Today was national

count day for kids at school and so the school is probably irritated at us

because Jaye missed school today. Many people would probably tell me

that I should have kept Jaye home on Saturday because we should have

known that a busy day would cause her pain. Well on Friday night she asked me

to let her wait until Saturday night to have her methotrexate shot. On Saturday

the church had their anual golf tournament and she wanted to go and be a part.

Also the youth group in the afternoon of Saturday were planning a car wash and

she wanted to be part of both. So, I said ok and we waited til Saturday night to

give her injection to her. She golfed, she played, she washed cars got a mild

sunburn and had a wonderful day. She dropped at about 6:30 or 7 p.m. and that

was all she wrote. She knew that the injection would make her more tired on

Saturday and that she would not have as much fun. Well she spent nearly all day

Sunday in bed barely able to move. She felt better by late afternoon and got up

and about some and slowly. This morning she could hardly get out of bed. Her

back, her ankles, her hands, her elbows and knees, her feet and as she tells it

nearly every joint in her body hurts. So now the emotions kick in for mom. I

watched her have such a fun time on Saturday. By early afternoon at the car wash

as she laughed and played in the water I could see her already starting to limp

and could see the pain in her eyes even as she smiled. Then I see her in pain

for the last two days and wonder why she has to pay so much for a day of fun.

But then I remember her laughter and realize she is not the one complaining. Her

only complaints come as I ask her where she hurts. Tonight she fixed me a pizza

for dinner because it was my birthday and then she played Rummy Cube with me and

laughed. Then she hobbled to bed. She is so sweet and she does not complaine, I

do. I did not intend for her to miss " count day " at school but if I had to do it

over again I would do it just the same and plan for her to miss count day

because she had such a wonderful time on Saturday. Her smile and laughter to me

are worth more then a millon bucks.
