Hi e,

So happy to hear you're doing so well, so soon -- it seems amazing to me! God is taking good care of you!

I've never lived in Seattle, however, Rod is from the Seattle area. When I've been there on business I never had time to look around & 'smell the roses"! We went there a couple of years ago for a couple of weeks, and I decided I would gladly move there if my children & grandchildren were not in the Dallas area. There is a downtown Market that I could spen a total week in, with fresh vegetables & fish (caught that day) that don't even look real -- everything you could possibly want. This Market also has every possible form of arts & crafts imaginable -- from stained glass & jewelry to gorgeous tie-dyed silks, and adorable childrens' clothes, etc.

The scenery is ominous! Hope you enjoy your trip there as much as I did. BTW, everything is up & down at least hills and I could not believe how much I was able to walk these hills without my back & legs hurting, plus not getting fatigued at all. Perhaps, it had something to do with the air & water! I envy you!

Blessings,

MM / NSIF

Subject: Going to Seattle

Hi everyone,Thought I'd let you all know that I'm off again, this time to Seattle. I will be leaving Denver either the 1st or 2nd, and arriving in Seattle the next day. My new job begins Aug 6.If there's anything I learned from going to ton, SC, it's that I am not suited to live anywhere East of Colorado!!! I am definately a Western girl.I will be working evening shifts at Seatte's trauma hospital. I will be working in the PACU (recovery room). The assignment is 13 wks long, with the option of renewing. I hope I like Seattle. I have some friends out there who just love it, so I'm hoping the experience will be much better than ton.Everyone keep their fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for me. Thanks,e

Martha,

Well, it sounds like your experience in Seattle was

positive. I'm glad to hear that. I will actually be

living close to that market area, as I will have an apt

in downtown and from some friends that are there (also

on a travel assignment), the apt is just a couple of

blocks from the market. I think it is also very close

to the Space Needle. I am getting excited. I have a

feeling that this will be a much better experience than

ton.

Wow, we have a gypsy here!

Seriously, I hope you love Seattle, and enjoy it much more than your

excursion back east, e.

Good luck.

Patty,

The good thing about moving around so much is that I get

to meet new docs and find out which ones are supportive

of us and have a good understanding of implant illnesses

and issues. This way, I can add names to the list of

docs that are good and docs to stay away from!!

Anyway, I have a real good feeling about Seattle. I've

been able to do a lot more research this time around,

and there is a website devoted to traveling nurses which

has been a wealth of info, so I feel much better about

this assignment than ton. I have a feeling that

I will probably renew the assignment as my contract ends

Nov 6, and I really don't want to be moving again so

soon and in the winter no less. So, I might renew 2-3

times and then move. The only reason I can think of

that I wouldn't renew is if I absolutely hate Seattle or

the staffing in the PACU is just plain unsafe. I refuse

to put my nursing license on the line. I worked way too

hard to get it and I'm not going to jeopardize it.

I'll keep you and everyone posted. God, this time next

wk I will be on my way.......
