My son is due to start Orencia on Tuesday. We'll let you know how it goes.

Remember to push the fluids. The one time we didn't and was a little

dehydrated from having a stomach bug....she got an extremely painful migraine.

I used to buy her a large gatorade to drink the morning of the infusion. And

that worked. She only got the headache the one time she didn't drink. We didn't

notice any other side effects. Take care and good luck.

He had a lot of pain all weekend from the injections, but he says it is ok now.

He has a bleeding disorder also, so before every procedure he gets he has to

receive DDAVP so he doesn't bleed out. And because of that he has restricted

fluids for the next 24 hours, so we couldn't push any fluids.

When they gave him the injection in one of his wrists it started bleeding, but

since he had his meds they were able to push pressure on it and it stopped.

We have trouble during injection time with his blood glucose going sky high

because of the Steroids, we are working closely with his Endroconologist.
