Guest guest
knee replacement ? It will be 2 years in February that I had my knee replaced and I have not had near the success with it as I did my bilateral hip replacement. Shortly after surgery the knee began to have daily pain and much of that was attributed to the condition of the knee pre op. Scleroderma mixed with 40 yr contracture created for a difficult surgery, rehab and recovery. I have daily pain sometimes excrutiating and the x rays appear to be ok so I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have called the ortho and will revisit him again for an eval. he has indicated that there may be some scar tissue but it seems to me scar tissue would not cause tear producing, stop in my tracks pain...has anyone had this happen and can you clue me in if so...many thanks! Hangin tight! Donna
Guest guest
Hey Donna, sorry you are having such a rough time. Scar tissue can cause severe pain if there is enough of it. But since you have been struggling with this since shortly after the surgery I would be inclined to believe there is something else going on. When do you see the ortho? I hope he will listen to you and be able to give you the relief you need. Keep us informed as to how you are doing. Veri & Jaye 16 poly knee replacement ? Guest guest
Hi Kris, For me it became unbearable and the surgery drew closer. Had I not had, the surgery I would have been wheelchair bound. My knees were very unreliable and would just give out at times especially closer to surgery. I had to really limit movement walking and be extremely careful. Hopefully you can get your surgery soon. Best thoughts, prayers and wishes!
