List:

Isn't five years what they were/are hoping to get Dr. Buck for in

his court martial for refusing the Anthrax vaccine? Wow, one has to

wonder what the comparison is in these two cases that would warrant

five years in jail for Dr. (a Anthrax vaccine refuser) and Lt. Cmdr.

Loeh. Now here's an interesting thought, since " Military judge Capt.

Fagen initially sentenced Loeh to 10 years " Then the long list of

Loeh's crimes must be just twice as bad as refusing the Anthrax

Vaccine, since they would like to give 5 years for it.

Along those mathematical lines, what should the punishment be for (1)

continuing to give a vaccine that is destroying lives and (2) covering up the

scope of the damage and (3) silencing the sick who are afraid of repercussions?

(4) While giving less than adequate medical care to the victims? That's just

for starters. Lying to Congress hasn't even been added in yet so the list is

very incomplete.

Hi all,

Just a recap: was diagnosed last January with poly. She started with

mtx and hydroxychloriquine (sp?) she did not improve so they increased the

mtx. Still no improvement, so she was put on Enbrel in August. She is

still not under control and seems to be getting worse. Today she couldn't

button or unbutton her pants and she asked me to call her dr (isn't it

terrible when a 10 year old ASKS you to call the doc?) Anyway, what is

typically next? Any guesses?

Andy went from methotrexate, naproxen, plaquenil to adding remicade.

Allergic reaction to remicade. Discontinued remicade. Eventually

discontinued methotrexate and replaced with arava. Added ebrel 6 months

later. Discontinued enbrel after 1.5 years. Switched to humira. Has been on

humira for 1.5 years and possibly getting ready to switch again.

Bad news: lots of trial and error.

Good news -- no wait -- the BEST news: There are still new drugs coming out,

and they all work slightly differently. This means there is hope. Just have

to find the right one.

It can be long and frustrating, but we can't give up. If it isn't working,

insist on something new. It's important to give the meds enough time to

start working and see if there is a difference, but once it is determined

that they aren't working, look for something new.

And yes, it is sad when your child asks you to call the doctor. Andy made me

email the nurse last Sunday:

" Dear Nurse Anne,

Humira stinks!!!! It hurts and it doesn't work. Please, can I switch back to

enbrel? Please, pretty please with sugar on top and mini marshmallows? "

Best of luck and our thoughts are with you.

Andy, age 11, psoriatic
