Guest guest
Hi , Good job with your attitude and planning! I think you may be a bit low on protein in your meals... go for 3/4 c cottage cheese and go for 3-4 oz ham, chicken, etc. Other than that it looks good! Park Just Checkin In Hey Ladies ) Well yesterday went well ) Day 1 and I made it through! I find that I can only fit in 5 'authorized meals a day' and I'm not hungry! I do need to sit down and re-evaluate my goals again......I was happy to find out that my weight remained the same and that my body fat has gone down in the last few weeks with my " binging " . Here's the meal plan for the day! meal 1: 1/2 C lowfat cottage cheese 2/3 C mix of 3 kinds of Kashi 3 C crystal light (rasp. ice) meal 2: 2 oz lean ham 1 slice Natural Ovens Rye bread 2 dill pickle spears 2 cups water meal 3: myoplex lite (chocolate) :oP 2 cup water meal 4: 1C mixed greans 2 slices onion 3 oz grilled chicken tenderloin's 2T Just2Good dressing (creamy ceasar) 1 serving Sun Chips (11 of them yummy things) 3 C water meal 5: 1/2 C lowfat Cottage Cheese 2/3 C mix of 3 kinds of Kashi 2 Cup Water I realize that these are not all totally authorized foods but I'm making positive changes that I can and am willing to live with ) I will also do my workout as well. have a wonderful day ladies and I thank you for being there to encourage and share your struggles and successes. Guest guest
Hi ~ At first glance here I have to agree with the others that your protein seems a little low [this is the first week of which challenge?] Are you balancing the portions at each meal? Here are my suggestions~ 1]you have 4 processed carbs in 4 out of 5 meals and then the 5th one is a shake [most of us oldtimers try to limit our processed carbs to 1 to 2 a day and keep them early in the day]. 2]Kashi cereals are great~ I use them once in a while myself...however the cereals are kind of carb heavy so you should watch you portion sizes with it. 3]pickles have a lot of sodium in them and may cause you to retain water [which could add to inches do to bloat or add in scale weight because of the excess water your body may want to hold onto because of the sodium] so be careful with how much and how often you have these. 4]the chips I am not aware of...but I do the baked Tostidos every know and again and I try to limit these as an occasional thing vs a daily thing...because they are so highly processed. 5]Do you like fruit? try adding fruit [as a carb choice] to the cottage cheese instead of the cereal. My curent favorite is to blend the cottage cheese smooth with my hand blender than add some Splenda and a portion of frozen strawberries that I chopped..taste really good in the hot weather that we have here in Arizona :0) Also do you track your days every now and a gain on http://www.fitday.com ? If you don't, try inputing this days meals in to see how your nutrional breakdown comes out to be sure it does balance for the day. Like I said at first glance it does seem like your protein is a bit low and you might be low on your fat intake as well. With BFL you are aiming for 40% protein/ 40% carb/ 20% fat. BTW if you are full after eating only 5 meals, my guess is that it's because of all of the cereal and the shake you ate in the day that is filling you up because of the fiber in them. Let us know how it comes out :0) And good luck with your challenge Joann Just Checkin In > Hey Ladies ) > > Well yesterday went well ) Day 1 and I made it through! Guest guest
"A Food Whore"!!! Ha ha.. Thats great I got to remember that one..Kathy B.. -- just checkin in I've been reading but haven't had time to post. Since I'm still pretty new here I don't understand a lot of what's going on with different people like Liz & Connie for example but I will certainly pray for them. It's been a crazy past couple months for me starting with GB surgery/biopsy, changing positions at work, training someone for my old one & learning the new one and now back to home repairs/updates & trying to sell it. I'm trying hard to lose weight & get back to feeling fit as I can before starting treatment. Wish me luck. I've lost this same weight a couple times now I think. I am such a food whore, lol.Hope everyone has a great Thursday. Thanks to all who take the time to answer questions & offer support on this board. I really appreciate it. in NC LetterDesign © Anke Grafik © Depesche Vertrieb

Guest guest
Amie, Snow!!!! That's wild. We only had it once when I lived there. The grass showed through. It was the first time my young dogs had seen snow as I got them while in GA. It was so funny. Everything closed down and the news ran the weather report all day. I stayed home with my roomates from New Jersey and Michigan, and we laughed so hard at the news. What a fun memory! How much did you get? Guest guest
We are too...we just cant afford to feed or house as many as we would like to. We live in a small house on a postage stamp size yard. We have several cats outside that we name as they come. I have been a cat lover for years and I very much enjoy the chihuahua breed of dogs. We have two cats inside Presley Rose ,a Bengal mix I got at the pound and a Himalayan I got from a breeder that she was not going to be able to sell full price, named Bella. We did have a gorgeous Silver Persian named Leo but I gave him to my stepson that spent alot of time with him while he was here...unfortunately Leo got out of their house...I was not happy about that at all the only peace I have is that he was gorgeous and that someone more than likely took him in. He is probably sitting in someones lap right now. Then we have Apple,a apple head chihuahua and Shamrock a sweet 12 year old lab,Siberian husky, wolf mix who lives in our back yard. So this cattery, how do you house them? We cant have any more inside due to the HAIR...ugh! <fpgmiss@...> wrote: 31/2 inches is amazing. Global warming??? Guest guest
hey gang...I have not been hiding or anything such. I have been laid up with this dang knee. WHOA! Maybe some of you knee replacement folks can chime in and let me know if I am among the normal or not. I had my surgery Monday and I know its still early but I border on the side of misery about 50% of my day. I was told knees were worse than hips and thus far I agree. I have cursed, cried and begged all to no help. My knee was by far the ordinary knee needing a replacement. It has been contracted for 35 plus years and also is the knee with scleroderma so I am sure these factors are contrinuting to my woes. My muscles are screeching and my scleroderma skin is doing everything it can to not break loose. The swellin has just began to go down and my bruising is somehwat improving. Talking about a beauty of a leg. Purple and blue shades have taken over from hip to toe. Of course those who know me, know I want to be better NOW and it dont work that way with replacements. Speaking of which my time at the comp is up and time to relax the leg has come. However, if anyone who has had a knee can advise me, please do! Hangin (real) tight!!!
