Guest guest Posted October 1, 2003 Report Share Posted October 1, 2003 dear susan, when i read your letter....my god.....how true it was.......i have been thru 4 dilations...drug treatments...2 surgeries...(still recovery now) and now it looks like i have to get my esophagus removed..(still having more trouble than ever to eat)....i weigh 108....and have lived almost 16 yrs with achalasia....my energy level is zero....my moods are horrible....and my husband said to me the other night.....kar....dont give up.....i see NOW that you are letting this disease beat you......god sue......and he was right...i'm soooo tired of dealing with this disease that it has taken over my life......the cheat pains....the feeling of never being hungry....the sleepless nights...the acid.....hmmm..i can go on and on...but i know that you know how i feel....... i force myself to eat...because people around me are worried.....but as soon as i eat one or two bites..its stuck..i go to the sink or bathroom....just trying to breath right.....and after that is over...i felt like i ate soooo much..... so sue....what is a person to do????? i have been never neglected my disease...dr.s have tried for yrs to give me some kind of temperary soluation.....hmmmm.....but with no success...... i still pray for a cure.....or some hope that we all get better..... i just wanted to say.....thanks.....for writing what i felt...... karen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
