Guest guest
Hello, My name is and my son is Adam. We are new to jra as of October. Adam was hospitalized with Kawasakis disease in October. He did not respond to treatments for Kawasakis and they went back and forth for a long time about it being Kawasakis. It wasnt until after he was released and an echo showed enlarged blood vessels that they decided he had Kawasakis. His labs were slowly returning to normal and we were backing off the steriods when on Christmas he woke up crying in pain. His legs and hands were stiff. Then each morning his hands are stiff he can barely move them. We went back to Childrens and his sed rate was back up to 75. I am at a loss with all of this. The meds seem extreme as he is still on steriods, Plavix and asprin. I need to hear from other parents, any advise or ideas are welcome. Thank you for your time.
