Guest guest
My hubby and I went to see him today. We surprised him! It was a great visit. He is an amazing man. He has a drain in his abdomen and one in his hip from abscesses. The drain in his hip is the one that they had to remove the hardware from. The other hip is infected too but they did not have to put a drain in. Thank goodness it isn't staph but he still has to have 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. He is hoping to get the drains out in the next few days and go to rehab (at Franciscan healthcare center). He will be in at least 6 weeks, bless his heart. He never complains or fusses. He is just incredible. We also discovered another incredible thing - he has an amazing singing voice! I took my guitar as a surprise and played a little, and he sang " Trailer for sale or rent " , and a medly of songs from the musical " Oklahoma " . We rocked it out a little too much and the grumpy patient in the room next door complained! Anyway, we had a great time and brought a little brightness to his day. Please keep him in your prayers, these infections are serious and I just hope they are resolving without any need for further surgery. , mom to Rob, 21, JAS in remission
