dfferent questions from member no. 500 :-)

hi!

i live in switzerland, im 18 and im doing an apprenticeship as a

chemistry lab assistant. i know that i have cmt since im 14 or so. i

have had diffrent foot surgeries and can be the whoole day on my legs

because of my walkaids. i can live well with them and im very

thankful to them too, because i cant walk without them...

now ive got some questions about cmt:

1. does this desease do something with the brain?

i have problems with concentrating myself. i often think " in loops "

and its hard to get out of them. those loops distract me from my

work. i did an two days long iq-test in a hospital, i was good, but i

dont feel weak in this iq-things, its more the reactions in difficult

situations, wich are stress-situatins by the work for example.

2. does my children have cmt too?

i dont know what cmt i have, the doctors said something because

myelin. im the first case in my family, so its a new mutation.

3. does thc have an influence to this desease?

dont laugh, please! :-) but if i " abuse " marihuana, my really ugly

handwrite turns into a more or less readable handwrite for at least 2

days. and i feel less distraction. i have only noticed it 2 times, so

im not shure if it happens after abusing or if it is just by accidant.
