Guest guest Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 Well, we don't know much more than we did last week. We are awaiting a biopsy on the mass in my nephew's hip (he is age 23). They did an extra CT last Friday to check out his lymph nodes. The orthopedist said that they are 'swollen'. He also said that we won't know anything for sure until the biopsy on 9/15. My sister, her husband, and their oldest child (daughter) will be travelling to South Carolina (a 10 hour drive) then to be with Ves as he goes thru the procedure. Of course, the pathology report will probably take a week or more. The good news is that my sister has been teaching for 30 years and had planned to retire at the end of this school year. Its very likely that she will go on and retire..its so great that she has that option and can be there for him. Coming home to kentucky is not an option as his insurance is thru his part-time job and care here would be out of network (don't you just love our American health care system!!) At any rate, just wanted to update...I needed to vent. I'm trying to be strong for my sister and help her thru this, as well as my dear nephew. They all need your prayers! I haven't even told Rob yet as he will be sooo upset....he is away at college, and I don't see telling him until we know the definate diagnosis. and Rob 19 JAS Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
