Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, Thank you for the encouraging words. But please explain more on the fins for swimming. I know this is going to be short - we are getting ready to go to church Anyway, is it normal after being diagnosed for my symptoms to compound like they have - or is this just in my head - or is this because of the stress of being diagnosed. I find myself constantly working my fingers and now they feel stiff along with a slight little bit of numbness in my forearm and I think there is a little in my right leg. What I have been told is that when you are stressed the CMT flairs up - so you are not to be stressed (easier said than done). I keep telling myself " hey I have had this all my life and the only different is that I have a name for it. I was also told that my hands will probably heal (with time) and the numbness should go away - I have found that if I stay cool the numbness subsides alot - until I start thinking about it again...that is my main problem BUT hopefully that will pass to. I know it is a part of my life and God made me this way (But at that I also think of 29:11). I just need to relax and realize that my life may or may not change too much. Or is this wrong to think this way and should I prepare myself for the worse...sorry to ramble on - it's kinda how my mind is working right now. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Did you have surgery on them and they think your problems will go away after the healing time from that? ~>Becky M>
