Guest guest
Dear ers, We all need to know as much about CMT as we can. For our own health, our loved ones, and to share with our medical professionals. Life is real, death is real. While I do not have phrenic nerve involvement, I need to know about it. I also need to be prepared for my death - from whatever and whenever. I am only 49, but because I believe in planning and preparation, I not only have a Will, but an Advance Directive and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care - stating not only my wishes but a whole lot about CMT!!!! For me, I feel, this is prudent. We all share our CMT lives on this list. The ups and downs, the good, the bad, etc. Some of us have had CMT our whole lives, some are just getting diagnosed. I found that through the untimely death of my father (from heart, no CMT) and from the long drawn out canceridden death of my beloved mother, I need to be prepared. My mother did not have CMT either. I have also experienced first hand the deaths of several close friends - my age, from other diseases or illnesses. If anyone would like to email me personally about death and dying, please do. I am not afraid to face it and should anyone have concerns, perhaps I can help. ~Gretchen
