Guest guest
We had our Christmas Miracle! Rob was on his way home from work tonight about 12:30, hit an icey spot on the road, hit a ditch and his Durango flipped. All 4 tires were flat, the frame twisted and he ended upside down suspended from his seatbelt. At least, the little amount of space left as the roof was bashed in. He drives with his seat leaned wayyyyy back, so we think it may have saved his life. All the windows were busted and the car is a complete loss. We are just so grateful he was not badly injured or killed. He has cuts and bruises, and a badly abraded eye from glass. We have to take him to the eye doctor in the morning, just spent a few hours in the ER getting him checked out. He is on meds for the eye and we'll see what the eye doc says tomorrow. They did a CT of his head and it showed some calcified lesions in his eyes? Don't know what that is all about...luckily, his pectus bar in his chest was intact and not affected at all. Praise God!! Merry Christmas to all!

Guest guest
, That must have been one of the most terrifying phone calls you received to learn that Rob had been in a serious car accident. I am so very glad to hear that with all things considered he made it through the accident with far fewer bumps and bruises than one would expect. How beautiful that you see beyond the accident and crumpled vehicle to the miracle that Rob was spared! Let us know how things go with his eye appointment. Guest guest
Oh My goodness!! I'm sooooooooo glad that Rob is okay considering the severity of the accident!! Amazing that it didn't affect his chest etc where it could have caused some serious damage with his condition. Interesting about the calcification ... maybe more info on that will come latter. It's like.. well didn't really want to know something ELSE is wrong with him, right?!! So glad he's okay. Guest guest
, I only just read about Rob's accident. What a miracle indeed that Rob was able to walk away!! God is good! I am so pleased to read he is doing well, amazed there has been no flare and he has been working even!! I hope the visit with the eye doc went well and Rob's recovery continues at an amazing pace. I pray your family can relax and enjoy Rob's remaining time home from college. (btw - how are you feeling?) My best to you and Rob and .
