Dear cjheer: I was not referring to you when I made the comments about

emotional responses but your last post does demonstrate my point. All that

I ask of you is that you do not misquote me on this group. I have not had

any testing which could show an autoimmune problem but I do recommend Dr.

Shanklin's silicone antibody test if my patients wish to be reimplanted with

saline if they had evidence of autoimmune disease. The problems I have seen

in patients with smooth implants are usually associated with infection.

Dear cjheer: Again understand that you took my comments personally when

they were intended for others. Take a careful look at this and at your

anger which you still choose to direct towards me. I dedicate my life to

helping women who are sick from silicone disease and choose to continue to

have implants in my body so I can be a spokesperson for saline as well as

silicone patients. Watch the special on FOX and ask yourself if my comments

would be as meaningful if I did not have saline implants. I may not have

even been interviewed. Try to see the larger picture and release those

emotions that do not serve you. .

Dear cjheer: How can you be sure that the way I was portrayed in the

Glamour interview had anything to do with reality? I spend over 3 hours

educating the writer about the dangers of saline implants and it should be

obvious to you that I did not write the article. The reason I believe this

happened as it did is so not to alienate the other plastic surgeons who I

will someday educate on this issue. Again, I would encourage you to release

your negative emotions and try to see the larger picture rather than

attacking me and making accusations for which you have no basis. If you

choose to believe that I am motivated by the money I can make off of these

women than why did I do so much charity surgery and open my home to several

homeless silicone women when they needed somewhere to stay other than their

car? If I were you I would be careful about sitting in judgment on people

who have been sent to help you. .
