He has chicken pox. He had chicken pox when he was 9 months old, and

a bad case of it too. But, kids who get chicken pox when they're under

a year old don't always build up the needed anti-bodies to prevent

them from getting it later plus since he is taking drugs to suppress

the immune system, that didn't help either.

WOW, He has CHicken Pox at 15? Dang that sucks. Where did he get it at? Be careful with it atound the eyes, Mouth and Private areas. Any open sores as well. When had them The Dr said only let her wear White clothes. Mostly I put her in a long white T Shirt. Sheets were white as well. Calomine lotion on all blisters. Amazing she had 1 on her eye and that ended up causing a eye infection. As it busted. Since he is older I am amazed that he has them. Umm Put gloves on his hands.

Just keep him comfy until all is over. Keep in contact with the Dr if anything arises.

How many kid's do you have? I know when my son had them back 23 yrs ago. I was told to allow kid's to come around him if they were young if they never had them. When I told my step dad and Mom as they came to visit that my son had Chicken pox lololol they got back in the car with the siblings and left lololol.

I had 7 kids with chicken pox in 93. It was not fun, but we all survuved. My 4 yr old has already had them. We'll see if our youngest gets them someday.

Yep, chicken pox at 15...crazy. I'm not worried about the chicken

pox, but just want to make sure it doesn't cause a flare, he's been

doing so well lately. Keep your fingers crossed.

Has anyone of the parents had a child with JRA get shingles or any of the YA's with JA get shingles? I got shingles when I was around 9.... just curious about others.. Issadora

Will do. He's done great since adding the enbrel so I'm keeping my

fingers crossed that this won't be a big deal and we'll continue to

move forward.
