Guest guest
Hey everyone, I need some advise.. Nick got his remicade last Friday, and then ran a slight fever that evening. yesterday he woke complaining of a sore throat and a stuffy nose. So i took him to the ped to check for strep. The strep came back negative, no fever, ears looked good and we were sent home. Nick did fine all day until supper when he got a high fever similar to his onset systemic fevers, said his throat was on fire. he was awake a lot in the night, according to hubby. I just got home and his fever is down to 101.8, he is crying in pain, saying he cannot take it anymore and his lymph nodes in his neck are HUGE. His jaw hurts, but all other joints are ok. he says it feels like theres something huge stuck in his throat. He has a scheduled rheumy appt this afternoon at 3.00, his ped is not in until 1pm. So do i take him back to the ped or do we go see the rheumy. Hes back asleep right now. hugs Helen and (9,systemic)
