questions about knee injections

I was hoping someone could help me with some questions. My three year

old son was diagnosed with & #65007;JIA & #65007;about two months ago. His left

knee is

swollen and that has not gone away even with six weeks of naproxin.

This has not interfered with his activity level at all. He has no pain

or stiffness as far as we can tell. At his follow up appointment his

Rhuematologist suggested an injection of either & #65007;Kenalog & #65007; or

Aristospan

to be done under sedation. Has anyone had this treatment? Are there any

side effects? Should we be doing this although he is not having any

pain now? I am afraid for him to suddenly have his knee worse than it

is now. Any input is greatly appreciated.
