Hello all, we are home. Yesterday was really tiring. We checked out

of the hotel then we were temporarily " homeless " until out flight at

7:00pm. We went to the Louisville Slugger Bat Museum then to the

Science Center and then to the airport. The flight was good. At the

airport parking lot we had a hard time finding our van. A bug decided

to hitch a ride by jumping in my hair! He kept climbing on me in the

van on the way home. Finally, I threw him out the door once we got

home!!-------The Make-a-Wish day for Elaney was AWESOME. She was

quite famous. (I tried charging people a dollar for her autograph!)

She got to meet y the baby elephant up close and personal.

y's mom, Mickey, painted Elaney a picture!!! Elaney fed a

polarbear marshmallows. She fed the pygmy hippos lettuce. (Elyssa got

pooped on by the pygmy hippos!) The lorikeets fought over Elaney's

hair. (They scratched poor Elyssa.) Elaney fed a giraffe named Bo.

(Elyssa stepped in Emu poop!) Both the girls were showered with

stuffed animals, t-shirts and toys. (So much so that we needed extra

luggage for the trip home!) We had newspeople and cameras following

us around the whole day. They had a golf cart take us from spot to

spot and that REALLY helped Elaney's joints. It was HOT but bearable.

I think it got up to 101 that day. Soooooo much fun. I did not get to

meet Donna but at least I talked to her. On the television report we

got the word out about JRA but the newspaper did not mention it. Our

Make-a-wish rep had never met a child with arthritis before.-----

Elaney is currently sleeping in. She is soooo tired. (I wish I could

have slept in!)--- & Elaney(13 oligo ext JRA, heart defects,

scoliosis)

Oh , I am so pleased to hear the trip was a screaming success

(although it sounds as if Elyssa did much fo the screaming, poor kid!)

Hope things start looking up for y'all from here.

Hugs from Oz,

Jo,

Bayly, 5, extended oligo
