I am also interested in hearing some "real" people discuss this. I am being actively pursued to start selling the stuff, I haven't yet tried it, but the family we just bought our house from swears by it...........would love to hear from friends and family the real deal............

It is really hard to find literature from a non Reliv source. I do know that it claims to "boost the immune system" but you don't want to boost your system, but decrease it. I have known several distributors who swear by it, been to many meetings, read their literature but just did not think it was for us. BUT that said, my daughter was given several cans of one of the products (can't remember which one) and drank it. It could be coincidence or could be real BUT she came out of a flare pretty quickly, but who knows. It is worth trying for me to see if it would make a difference, but I just can not afford to purchase it on a regular basis. I mentioned it to our rheumy and he felt it was safe enough to try but he didn't think it would do anything. ecari0227 <jctlanning@...> wrote: Have any of you heard of/tried Reliv? That's my problem with it--it all seems too good to be true. My MIL sells

the stuff and is visiting right now and all I have heard about for the past

20 hours is reliv. Everything we discuss comes back to reliv. It's getting

quite tiresome. I feel like I am living an infomercial!! She has told me

so many stories about kids with everything from asthma to autism to spina

bifida to cystic fibrosis CURED by this stuff. My point is if all these can

be cured, why are we risking our children's lives doing lung transplants for

CF or putting our kids in wheelchairs if it cures SB. It just sounds too

hokey. Her stories get loftier and loftier. And I am really careful what

kinds of medicines and supplements my kids get. She is now trying the guilt

trip thing on me -- " I love my granddaughter so much and it just kills me

you are poisoning her with medications that kill her body when she could be

cured by this balanced nutrition that is completely harmless. " It is

driving me nuts!!! I got her to shut up a little by telling her I'd ask

Autie's doc on Tuesday.

Pray for my sanity!!!

There is a group in St. ph, MI that sell this and have meetings ever Wednesday night I believe. I actually was going to try it for my 4 year old daughter. At the time, I went through a life changing event and tried to just stay sane. I have not tried it again, although during the time I tried it, I talked on the phone with about four families whom had various diseases and they were swearing by it. Two had arthiritis and they did not need meds now. Carissa Lanning <jctlanning@...> wrote: That's my problem with it--it all seems too good to be true. If it sounds too good to be true it usually

is too good to be true. If this stuff were truly a cure all I know a lot of

docs who would give it to their own kids. At the very least, please check with

your medical team before using something like this. You need to know what is in

it and how much of each ingredient is in it. Not everything that is safe for

adults is safe for kids.

See, that was the hard part. The one family that gave us the free ones they did not really have great medical issues but drank it all the time, even the toddlers and were a healthy family (could it be from the drink or just because, who knows). And when I would go to the meetings and listen to the various people about their children being healed etc the hard part was I never saw there child "before" only "after" so I really don't know. I have talked to a lot of people who swear by it and one did have JRA and now totally in remission but I didn't have access to their "before" so again I do not know--perhaps they had a mild case, perhaps they would have been in remission anyways, etc. It is hard to know. Like I said our rheumy was fine with taking it, but others may not. He was open minded about things like that. Our current one, less so. If you find info from a reliable source I would love to read it.eajaomom@... wrote: I am also interested in hearing some "real" people discuss this. O don't we all love that line? NOT! My usual reply to someone who says

taking off his meds would cure him is to tell them that before

he was hospitalised, he could not walk. Before he was diagnosed, he was

spiking nightly fevers up to 106. Before meds, and when he's off meds

for various reasons, he breaks out in a rash over most of his body. So

no, taking him off the meds Will. Not. Work. It may be more info than

they want, but if they're going to stick their noses into my business,

they're going to get a anootfull :-)

The parents of my daughter ’s

friend sell it and the mom mentioned I should try it for Chris. He was not

interested. I do know that when this friend of Jenn’s used it, she seemed

to gain a lot of weight. Now for someone like it would probably help, but

if weight may be an issue, I am not sure. The parents of course swear by it,

but none of their children have health issues. The kids seem to use it mainly

because they are in a lot of sports. I am of the “it may be too good to

be true” group and I wonder who’s making the money off of it. Just

my cynical opinion I guess and if it really works for some who am I to criticize?

Have any of you heard of/tried Reliv? Does it work for

you? I don't

know what to think of it because there are some pretty lofty claims

out there about this. It sounds hokey to me. I am trying to find out

We have tried it in the past. My parents swear by it and were/are distributers at one time. We tried it for about a month or so and saw no results. Caroline actually got worse while on it, but I am sure it was not related to the Reliv she was just going through an extreme flare at the time.
