Guest guest
;Its really going to depend on two things; the dose that you were given and your body's metabolism. So its really hard to say. The great thing is you don't have to go through a taper. The bad thing is, your body was probably given a pretty high dose of steroids, so you probably had big surge in your cortisol levels and whether that slowly drops and returns to normal or just 'crashes', I don't really know (too much chemistry and pathophysiology for my poor brain!) At any rate, my prayers are with you and I hope that you decide to get into the rheumy soon. I am glad that your joints feel amazing right now. May it last forever! and Rob 18 Spondy Because of the strep they gave me a big shot ofdecadron. It did wonders on my swollen throat, inaddition my joints have never felt better. However assomeone who has experience with steriods, I definitelycan feel the mood swings, didn't get the hungerincrease thankfully instead it actually made me nothungry. I'm curious to know how long one shot ofdecadron will stay in a system? My joints feelamazing, I guess thats further proof that maybe I needto be back on treatment. But the random mood swingsneed to end, so how long can I expect this? (JAS, 22)
