Good morning ,

I haven't read messages or posted for quite a long time. Today, I

watched the video of Sam and was brought to tears. It reminded me

of our son who was diagnosed shortly after his first birthday

(like Sam). I readily identified with you and your

husband....because we too had a son very much like Sam. was

chronically ill for about 3 1/2 years (daily rash, fever, swollen

joints, high ESR, anemia, etc.). I never thought he would attend

school.

I just wanted to let you know that is now 7 and in complete

remission. He started kineret after his 4th birthday and has

experienced full control of his disease. He is treated at Texas

ish Rite in Dallas....and was enrolled in a study of kineret

that was later published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine. 9

out of the 10 children in the study went into remission.

attends school, plays basketball and baseball, has no pain and is

leading a very active and healthy life. It has changed our lives!

It sounds like Sam is also on kineret....I am hoping to hear that he

has had a similar response to the medicine.
