Guest guest
Hi, My name is Deanne and my 23 year old son has ANA-, Pauciarthritis JRA. He had his first flare up at 3 at that time with Right hip synovitis, he had had autoimmune problems since birth. At 5 he woke up with his right knee swollen and was then dx with JRA (finally an answer). My daughters and I are all ANA +, the girls are check annually for Lupus. My son went through hell with treatments and finally went in remission at 17 years old. At 20 he joined the Airforce, (he was told at 16 he would be wheelchair bound by his early 20's). For 17 years it was nothing but treatments pain, hospitilizations he had a rough road to go down. He has had some flare ups but nothing that he can't handle. I know its not much but I just wanted you to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. God bless Deanne
