Guest guest
Is anyone planning on attending? We went last year and it was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend it. We are still debating whether or not to go back this year. It will just be harder for Faryn to miss school now that she is in high school. Guest guest
Hi Jackie! Yes, we are planning on attending also. We went last year and had a wonderful time. With the change in congress, some of us are going to have to start from scratch. If you do go, look for us... Sam usually rides around on his green tractor (it's like his trademark...everyone recognizes the tractor - hahaha). (Sam, systemic, age 5) > > Is anyone planning on attending? Guest guest
We'll be there and would love to see you and Faryn again! I've already gotten approval from all of 's teachers for her to miss school. The actual Summit starts at 8 on Tuesday morning and Hill visits end early Wednesday afternoon, so you could actually arrange your flights to have Faryn miss only 2 days of school. Right now Southwest has internet fares from Manchester to Baltimore for $49 each way! How's Faryn doing? Guest guest
He is! He's doing wonderfully! His new school was slow at first, getting up to speed on all his needs, but they sure are doing a great job with him. Jack (2 yrs) is in school also - he was recently diagnosed with Autism. He's adapting well. We've finally started building our log home, and should be completed in a few months. We are so excited! How are your girls? I can't wait to see you guys! Guest guest
Hi , It's good to hear that he's doing so well and that the school is doing a great job. Have you considered letting Sam join us for the Kids Summit this year? We always know where to find parents if we need them and we do try to make it fun and educational for the kids. Dr G will be spending time with the kids again this year and Sam knows him. I'm sorry to hear about Jack's diagnosis but know that with you as his mom he has an awesome advocate! How are you handling this? I imagine there must be some sense of relief to have answers, but.. That's great news about the log home. Will you have pictures as building progresses? My girls are doing well. 's arthritis is really well controlled now~~ gotta love those drugs!!~~ and she's loving her freshman year of high school. Sophie continues to one of 's strongest supporters. Sometimes I am amazed by the strength of the bond between those two, especially since is 3 years older. Will you be at the Virginia JA weekend in burg? Guest guest
Yes, we are going. Kendra (11 jra) myself, and husband are going. My 8 yr old is staying with her Aunt. I am glad to hear it was a good experience as we have to take Kendra out of school as well and she's missed 11 days already. Guest guest
Ok thanks!! Our biggest issue right now is trying to get a wheelchair for Kendra. She usually doesn't need one, but when she's on her feet all day she gets really sore. So we are looking into borrowing or renting. Otherwise the AF actually asked if Kendra was interesting in going so they are funding part or most of the trip!! Thank goodness!! Otherwise we couldn't go. We are trying to save up for the conference this summer!! Jill Mom to Kendra 11 jra _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ajaoky@... Guest guest
a wheelchair is probably a good idea as there is usually alot of walking when you go the Hill. I am so envious of all who are going. Know I will be there in spirit and cheering from Louisville!!! Donna advocacy summit Is anyone planning on attending?
