Guest guest
After a rather long day I am glad to report Uncle Rusty is doing well. He had the defibrillator placed around 1:00pm and is already in a room and will be monitored. If all goes well he will be home tomorrow. Anyone who could send a card of encouragement it would be great. presents as such a strong will and determined man but I know sometimes he feels low and needs a pick up like of all of us so if ya can send a perky lil hello his way. I also had a docs appointment today and it is still not known what is wrong. Currently we are grabbing straws to make a diagnosis. About 6 weeks ago I started with a cold, drainage, ear infection, lightheadedness, etc....I am still having horrible bouts of lightheadedness and now I can add to the list nausea, pain in the sternum area and fatigue. Doc speculates possible gallbladder issues...anyone with experience???I did not know dizziness could come with gallbladder problems. I go for an ultrasound next week and will see A GI specialist as well, but not until January 22!!! I was driving home in disgust and feeling frustrated and said that's it....I handed it all to my higher power and will pray and hope for the best. Doc also suggested I may need some mommas lil helpers as I am dealing with a lot. Family, financial and teenage issues are making me crazy and it seems this stress is compounding my problems. Anyone with lexapro experience or any mommas lil helpers please send advise my way.... Hang tight , Hang tough Donna

Tell Betty to take a DEEP Breathe as God has her in a Good place as she is helping out there. Rusty will be fine. He has the Go get it Attitude. Let her know Rusty has so many Supportive people behind him. Take One Day At A Time. Will keep Rusty in our Prayers here. You should read Betty some of the emails to Rusty and make her laugh. Guest guest
I just got off the phone with . He is in some pain. They did remove the right hip hardware and he will not be able to put any weight on his leg for 6 weeks. Will also need 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. They cleaned out the infection from the left hip. He will have to go to a rehab center for 6 weeks at the very least. The orthopedist does not know if he will be a candidate to have the right hip hardware put back in or not. He plans to go to Franciscan Rehab Center in Louisville. You should be able to google it for the address. I will also post the address on here once he is moved, which will be in a few days. His spirits are good, as usual. I have never seen someone who has been through so incredibly much be able to keep the fantastic attitude that he does. He says, " well, I walked around on that leg without a hip for 18 years, I can do it again. " I sure do hope so. Thank God he insisted that they check him out thoroughly in the ER that day, cause the ER doc almost sent him home. With the amount of infection in there, it could have been life threatening had they sent him home. A few days ago the skin over the left hip actually opened and the infection started draining out. Very, very serious. If anyone wants to call him in the hospital, the number is 502-629-8000 (Norton Hospital). Just ask for Morse's room. Please keep him in your prayers. , mom to Rob, 21, JAS in remission Uncle Rusty > I went to see Uncle Rusty (aka ) today. He actually was > admitted this past Friday. Guest guest
/aka Rusty called today, and the good news is that the infections in both hips are NOT staph. So he apparently does not need 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. He will find out more tomorrow. The odd thing is that the offending organism is something usually found in the bowel. So he is to have a CT scan to rule out anything abdominal going on. He will keep us posted as more info is received! And I'll be sure to pass it on... , mom to Rob, 21, JAS in remission > > ________________________________ > From: and Schulz <snooksmama@...> > > Sent: Mon, October 4, 2010 5:59:27 PM > Subject: Re: Uncle Rusty > > > I just got off the phone with .
